The renovated homestead from the 19th century represents the most powerful architectural buildings in the area. The preserved furniture with restored wall murals depicts the living culture of a wealthy farmer. The house can be viewed by prior arrangement with and under the guidance of the owner. Smaller cultural events are also organized at the homestead, with authentic cuisine from the period of the homestead’s beginnings with local ingredients, mostly own production added to the offer. The food is prepared exclusively in the wood-fired oven.
The Svetelšek Homestead is part of the scattered village of Svetelka near Dramlje. At the end of the 19th century, the homestead comprised 72 hectares of land, and in addition to the house and large brick outbuilding – ‘marof’ there was also a hay rack – a double hay rack and granary, which are now destroyed. The house and marof already on the outside indicate the status of the wealthy former master, who had also been the mayor in the twenties of the 20th century. Today's image of the buildings belongs to the former fertile period of the homestead, also reflected in the many details in the interior and equipment.
